Joey was a very good friend of mine. I met him in 2000 when I lived in Boone, NC for college. We were in a band called Schizoid and wrote music together. I played bass guitar. He may have mentioned it.
We kept in touch some after I left Boone. I was devastated when I found out he died. I will never forget him. We spent a lot of time going to see bands play and hours and hours of talking about music.
